David Cochrane has spent over 30 years in the field of education. He began his career as a mathematics teacher and high school soccer and softball coach in the San Diego Unified School District. He began his administrative career in 2000 as an assistant principal at Scripps Ranch High School. He accepted a position in San Marcos in 2004 to become an assistant principal of Woodland Park Middle School, later to become the principal of WPMS from 2006-2011. David became principal of Mission Hills High School in 2011. In 2013 he was promoted to his current position of Director of Student Services. David works closely with administrators and other district staff to ensure the safety and well being of all students.

We shall make every effort to maintain a safe, positive school environment and student services that promote student welfare and academic achievement. This shall be accomplished through Board Policy and Administrative Procedures. The school district shall work closely with parents/guardians and the community in order to achieve a harmony of interests.
