A dedicated educator with over twenty years of teaching and administrative experience in middle and high schools, Mrs. Campbell earned her Master of Science in Educational Leadership from National University, and is currently in the process of obtaining her Doctorate in Education from UCSD.She began working in our district as an assistant principal for San Marcos High School in 2005. She went on to become the principal of San Marcos Middle School, successfully improving school culture and student achievement, before being tapped on the shoulder to lead SMHS as their principal.

Welcome to the Secondary Curriculum and Instruction website! The main focus of our department is to plan, develop, and write comprehensive curriculum and assessments based on California Content Standards in all core content areas. Content standards are designed to encourage the highest achievement of all students by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills that students should acquire at each grade level. In addition, it is our responsibility to provide professional development opportunities, evaluate and select standards-based textbooks and instructional materials, create standards-based formative and summative assessments, and assist in the implementation of support programs for students.
