Welcome to StudentSquare!
The San Marcos Unified School District launched
ParentSquare
as our school-to-home communications platform during the 2023-24 school year, and we are excited to announce the addition of StudentSquare for the 2024-25 school year. StudentSquare will be made available to high school students this year to help students get real-time emergency alerts and important notifications directly on their devices.
This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents, guardians, and students informed as well as encourage greater engagement with all of our SMUSD schools. The platform sends communications primarily with email, text, & app notifications and each parent /student can customize their preferences on how best to receive the information.
StudentSquare offers:
Instant Alerts:
Students will get real-time notifications about emergencies like severe weather or lockdowns, so they’re always in the loop.
Custom Notifications:
They can set their preferences to receive alerts in the way that works best for them.
Easy to Use App:
The interface is super user-friendly, making it easy for students to find and read important info quickly.
Better Communication:
Besides emergency alerts, we can also send school updates, event reminders, and other important info to keep everyone connected.
SMUSD will send out StudentSquare announcement emails for the new system and students will use their SMUSD Google account to "Sign in with Google" for StudentSquare. We encourage students to access their accounts by utilizing the mobile app.
Students can also sign in using the website:

Select "Sign in with Google" to use your SMUSD Google account
