• Welcome to San Marcos High School's "AP Central"!

San Marcos High School offers over 21 Advanced Placement classes ranging from AP English Language and AP Government to AP Statistics and AP Environmental Science to Music Theory and Studio Art (complete list below). All courses have been approved by the AP Audit as rigorous, college-level courses.

Please check the AP Exam schedule for exam dates, times, and locations.

All AP Students must attend a Pre-Administration session to prepare for the AP Exams; students will only need to attend one, no matter how many exams they take. Some World, US, and Government classes will be giving the Pre-Administration in their classes. Otherwise, students will need to attend a before- or after-school session in room 263.

Pre-Administration sessions will be held in room 263 at 3:15 pm in April.

AP exams will cost $94, as dictated by College Board, and will be paid at the finance office. Fee waivers may be available to families based on family income (see the Fee Waiver forms) and the forms will be available in the spring. Fee waivers are due to Mr. Zeigler in room 263.

Fee payments will take place in the second semester.

All forms will be available through the AP Paperwork tab.

AP fees will be collected at the Cashier's Office. Students and parents may pay through the school's Webstore.

Parents and students who will be paying the full cost of the AP Exams may use the online SMHS WebStore, which can be accessed from the main page or http://webstores.activenetwork.com/school-software/san_marcos_high_scho/, at any time. If your student is taking multiple exams, you can pay for them using a credit or debit card over many months or in one payment.
