Welcome to San Marcos High School's Associated Student Body (ASB)!!! As an Associated Student Body, we strive to develop, within our members, the attributes of a leader which we all believe to be invaluable and indispensable. We challenge each other and ourselves in our own mission statement:

“We will represent our peers by demonstrating the hard work and positive attitude needed to bring San Marcos High School to its full potential."

Students share with adults the responsibility of planning and organizing assemblies, meetings, social and recreational events, rallies, elections, and other events.  The students that make up the ASB Senate experience what it is to work as a team and develop group goals and discover personal strengths and weaknesses and develop a class vision as well as an overall school vision.

An active Associated Students Body (ASB) offers many opportunities for students to participate in student’s government. ASB Senate positions are president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and school board representative these positions are chosen in a school-wide vote. Other students may apply to serve as one of the 12 ASB Round Table Commissioners, (Tech, Athletics, Clubs/Fundraising, Publicity, Student/Faculty Rep., Cultural, Pep, Historian and Class level officers.) responsible for specific aspects of school life. Commissioners are selected by elected officers with the final approval by the ASB Director.
