Welcome to First Grade in Room 204! I am very excited to be your child’s first grade teacher for the 2016-2017 school year! I love knowing I will be a positive influence for your child on a daily basis and I absolutely love watching my students explore, grow, and learn together. I look forward to getting to know you and your family! It’s going to be a wonderful year!**Please note that my email has a number 2 in it**Back to School Night: First Grade Back To School Night will be held on Tuesday, September 6 at 5:30pm-6:15pm. Please plan to attend this important evening. This is a meeting for parents and teachers only, no students or siblings please. What to Bring Each Day/Supplies: I would recommend bringing a backpack, take home folder, snack, lunch or lunch money, and a water bottle.I would also recommend marking all items clearly with your child's name, as they are often similar to others. Please do not send juice or sweetened drinks as ants can be a problem. I will be providing students with necessary supplies including pencil boxes, pencils, crayons, scissors and glue. We use our supplies quite often and are greatly appreciative of replenishment. Should you wish to donate any supplies, thank you in advance. We are always in need of glue sticks, copy paper, tissues, Clorox wipes, expo dry eraser markers, and treasure box items.Lunch: Lunch is at 11:00 a.m along with our second graders. If you would like your child to buy lunch please stop by the cafeteria to set up an account or set up an account online:In addition to lunch, the children will have a recess time later in the day so you may want to send an additional snack. It is helpful to label the additional snack so that it isn’t eaten during lunch time.Dismissal/Parent Pick Up: School ends at 3:10 every day except Wednesdays (2:10)* Students will be ready to be picked up in the 1st grade zone located at the rolling gates. The rolling gates are located in front of the school on the right. Parents or older siblings may pick up and students will need to make sure they "high five" me before leaving.* K.O.C will walk as a group with the K.O.C leaders.
