Gina Bishop has worked in education for 27 years in a variety of positions. She first realized her desire to work with children when she volunteered in classrooms for special education students during her first two years in college. Initially, she hoped to be a child psychiatrist, but once she began her studies at California State University, Long Beach, she decided to become an educator.
Mrs. Bishop completed her bachelor's degree, master's degree in educational administration, multiple subject and special education teaching credentials, and administrative credential from the University of California, Riverside. She continues to learn daily from her own school-aged sons, her colleagues, and reading professional literature.
