What time can my kids arrive for school?

School begins at 8:45am for Grades 1-5, and children may be dropped off no earlier than 8:15am. School begins at 8:15 for AM Kindergarten and 11:50 for PM Kindergarten. You can bring children 5 minutes prior to their start time. If your child eats school bought breakfast he/she may come at 8:00am.

Can I walk my child to class?

Parents will be allowed to walk their child to class the first day of school. After that, for the safety of our children, you will need to leave your child at the front gate.

Can I come on campus any time?

No. For the safety of our students, we are a closed campus. You must have a valid reason or appointment to come on campus and you MUST always check in at the front office. You will need a valid Drivers’ license to check in.

Can I volunteer in my child’s class?

Yes. Please speak with your child’s teacher to set up scheduled times to volunteer.

Can anyone pick up my child prior to dismissal time?

No. Parents are the only people allowed to pick up their child early. Please give the office at least 15 minutes to get your child to the office. If you need someone else to pick up your child, they must be on your child’s emergency list, and we must have written notice from you on the day they are being picked up early.

Do you have before and after school child care on campus?

Yes. We have a program called KOC (Kids on Campus) that is run by our District. Please contact Lynette Collins at 760-752-1280 for information.

Who do I notify if my child is going to be absent?

Please call the front office at 760-290-2121 X4 and leave a message for the attendance clerk. You will need to give us a reason your child is absent, the date of the absence and who your child’s teacher is. Please note, not all absences are considered excused, but they will be verified once you call in. If your teacher likes to be notified of an absence, you still need to call the front office.

What do I need to do if my child is tardy?

Any child who is late to school needs to check in at the front office. If your child has been at a dentist or doctor appointment, please ask the Dr. for a school note.

Do you have after school enrichment programs?

Yes. FIT KIDS is a program contracted through our PTO that provides various after school classes. The classes are usually one day a week and run for a specified number of weeks . Four sessions are offered throughout the year. For more information, please visit the Fit Kids section on this site.

Can my child buy a hot school lunch?

Yes. Each child is issued a card through the cafeteria, which stays here at school. You will need your student ID #, which you can get from the front office in order to put money on your child’s card. You can pay online or you can pay in the cafeteria at the school.

How can I find out who my child’s teacher is?

Class lists will be posted the Friday before school starts outside the front office at 5:00pm.
