    About Teacher

    Thomas Briones was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona.  He attended and graduated from a vocational high school, where he learned analog and digital photographic practices. He was awarded a 4-year scholarship from the Arizona Scholarship Foundation for his academic success and high GPA.  He continued his education by receiving his Associates in Fine Art in Photography from Phoenix College. From 2006-2016, he worked for Duke Photography in Phoenix, Arizona, where he gained knowledge of the portrait industry. He was the digital artist, as well as an active studio photographer for the company. Thomas continued his education at Arizona State University where he received his Bachelors in Fine Art in Photography. In August of 2016, Thomas began his teaching career in Avondale, AZ where he taught Beginning and Advanced Photography. In July of 2017, Thomas moved to San Diego and accepted a position at San Marcos High School where he is continuing to teach digital photography. Outside of school, Thomas continues to photograph and enjoys shooting fashion, commercial, and portrait photography, which allows him to fuel his passion of working with all types of people.
