    Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!  I am looking forward to having your child in my class.  I know each one is eager to learn, and I plan on providing a quality education that inspires creativity, discovery and achievement.  Much of your child’s success depends on an effective partnership between home and school.    A weekly newsletter will be sent home to inform you of upcoming events and what concepts/standards we are working on.  Newsletters, notes, and school-wide communication will be sent home in our “Wednesday Coyote Envelopes”.  Please use these envelopes to send notes to me as well.  Envelopes are due back to class on Thursdays

Mark your calendars!  Back to School Night is this Thursday,September 1, 2016  @ 6:25 p.m. Students should stay at home; this is an adult only event.  I will be sharing expectations and classroom management policies, grade level curriculum and standards, and the many exciting ways for you to become involved at T.O.E.S.  I will also have a sign-up sheet for parent-volunteers at this time.  Until then, please stop by or call if you have any questions or concerns: 290-2588 ext. 3535. I also check my email daily at barbara.schneekluth@smusd.org.

Each year parents ask what they can help to stock our classroom.  I would greatly appreciate any donations of reams of white Xerox paper, or white cardstock paper, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, Ziploc Baggies (sandwich, or snack size), surface wipes and baby wipes, 2"x4" and 1"x2 5/8 mailing labels.

We have PE on Tuesdays and Fridays.  Please have your child wear comfortable clothes and shoes on these days (no sandals).  Due to the warm weather, I advise sending your child with a water bottle with their name and Room 35 on it.

I hope this answered some of your beginning of the year questions.  Please know I feel honored to be a part of your child’s life.  I take this great responsibility of educating your child seriously.  I am confident that by working together we will make this a successful and memorable year for your child.

    Warmest Regards,

    Mrs. Schneekluth
