California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress Information
Your child, along with public school students throughout California, will participate in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) which has replaced the Standardized Testing and Reporting program (STAR) as the new state academic testing program. CAASPP is a system intended to provide information that can be used to monitor student progress and ensure that all students leave high school ready for college and careers.
This year, CAASPP includes computer-based tests in English–Language Arts and Mathematics for students in Grades 3-8 and 11, as well as a computer-based, pilot test in Science for students in Grades 5, 8, and 10.
