ELPAC

The California English Language Development Test (CELDT) was formerly given to students who were new to the country; however, now the ELPAC test is administered.

The English Language Proficiency Assessment for California (ELPAC) has been used to assess English Learners since 2017. The ELPAC is the test that is used to measure how well students in kindergarten through twelfth grade understand English when it is not their primary language. Information from the ELPAC helps teachers to provide support for EL students in specific areas of need.
