New Immunization Requirements Effective 7/1/2019

For the 2019-2020 school year, any child enrolling in a California school, or advancing to a different school within the District needs to meet the new immunization requirements in effect at the time of admissions.

This means that all new students to the district, TK/K students, and students moving on to a middle school or high school in our district must provide  proof of the following immunizations to your child's school prior to August 20, 2019:

4  doses of Polio vaccine (3 may meet the requirement in certain cases)
5  doses of DTaP (3 or 4 may meet the requirement in certain cases)
1  dose of Tdap vaccine (applies only to 7th-12th grade students)
3  dose of Hepatitis B vaccine
    2  doses of MMR vaccine
2  doses of Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccine (or proof of disease
documented by your child's doctor on the immunization card)

If you are uncertain about your child's immunization status, please contact the Health Aide at your child's current school for information. Notices of missing immunizations will be sent home.

If a child is advancing to 7th grade in the fall 2019 or later, the child must meet the 7th grade requirements in effects at the time of entry into 7th grade as follows:

    1  dose of Tdap vaccine
2  doses of Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccine (or proof of disease
documented by your child's doctor on the immunization card)

If a child has an expiring personal beliefs exemption prior to attending school on or after July 1, 2019, the child will need to meet all current immunization requirements.
