Immunization Requirements for School Admission

For the 2021-2022 school year, any child enrolling in a California school, or advancing to a different school within the District needs to meet the new immunization requirements in effect at the time of admission.

This means that all new students to the district, TK/K students, and students moving on to a middle school or high school in our district must provide  proof of the following immunizations to your child's school prior to the first day of school:

4  doses of Polio vaccine (3 may meet the requirement in certain cases)
5  doses of DTaP (3 or 4 may meet the requirement in certain cases)
1  dose of Tdap vaccine (applies only to 7th-12th grade students)
3  dose of Hepatitis B vaccine
    2  doses of MMR vaccine
2  doses of Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccine or a Permanent Medical Exemption from your
child's doctor documenting proof of disease

If you are uncertain about your child's immunization status, please contact the Health Aide at your child's current school for information. Notices of missing immunizations will be sent home.

If a child is advancing to 7th grade they must meet the requirements as follows:

    1  dose of Tdap vaccine
2  doses of Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccine or a Permanent Medical Exemption from your
child's doctor documenting proof of disease

If a child has an expiring personal beliefs exemption they will need to meet all current immunization requirements.
