Welcome to the Secondary Curriculum and Instruction website! The main focus of our department is to plan, develop, and write comprehensive curricula and assessments based on California Content Standards in all core content areas. Content standards are designed to encourage the highest achievement of all students by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills that students should acquire at each grade level. In addition, it is our responsibility to provide professional development opportunities, evaluate and select standards-based textbooks and instructional materials, create standards-based formative and summative assessments, and assist in the implementation of support programs for students.
