If you have been offered a position as a Non-Classified or Short Term employee, this page will provide you with new hire documents and links to information required for your work assignment at San Marcos Unified School District.

You have been offered a work assignment, what happens now?

THE HIRING PROCESS:

• The school site or department will email Human Resources with Authorization to Hire which will include your full name and position.
• You will then be emailed the next steps
• The next steps will provide you with information and location on the fingerprinting process. The fee for your fingerprinting is $78.00. You will also be required to to complete the TB Questionnaire.                                                    
• Next you will complete your new hire packet (see link below) which will also have instructions and a checklist for other requirements necessary in the hiring process.
• The Department of Justice will provide us with the results of your fingerprints, please let us know when you have completed the fingerprinting so we can check the portal for your results. Once received, we can set up a New Hire Orientation to go over the following:

• At your scheduled Orientation appointment, your new hire documents will be reviewed for accuracy and completion.
• Finally, we will contact your school site or department manager to let them know you have completed the new hire process and are clear to start your assignment.

Based on the assignment you have been offered, please select the link to the appropriate new hire packet, PRINT and thoroughly complete all forms in the packet and follow all instructions regarding any other requirements for your assignment.
