KOC Community Announcement June 17, 2020
The following was emailed out to families who were with us last school year on June 17, 2020:

Dear KOC Families,

The end of the 2019-20 school year has been much different than how we started.  Many of you have been asking about plans for the 2020-21 school year.

The District is currently working with local public health officials, the San Diego County Office of Education and the California Department of Education regarding guidelines for the 2020-21 school year.  A committee has been established of various District and community stakeholders to develop options and plans based on these guidelines for all District programs including childcare.

As you know, the KOC program is 100% supported by the fees paid by parents.  At this time, there is no guarantee that we will be able to offer a KOC program within the guidelines established by local public health officials. And, the rooms that we have been using for KOC may be needed to provide day-to-day instruction, which is always the priority of the District.
We recognize the childcare needs that are present within our community.  Once the District has identified the plans for the 2020-21 school year, it is our hope that we will be able to offer KOC as an option to our community once again.

Thank you for your support of the KOC program. We will continue to communicate with you as we know more.
